Initial Assessment is a short package to measure ability with words and numbers. The results can then be used to plan your learning and training, choosing the best for you. Before you start, you spend some time in the demonstration area, where you can try out the types of question and feel happy with how the programme works.

At any time you can ask if you need help. You can choose answers in different ways - clicking on an answer, a picture, or a word, for instance, filling in a box or choosing from a list, dragging and dropping answers with your computer mouse or putting things in order. If you have headphones or speakers you can hear the questions being spoken. And there's a pop-up calculator for you to use for some questions. You can stop at any point and your work will be saved ready for next time. At the end of Initial Assessment you will see a diagram that shows your score for each section, so you can see where you need to do more work.
