House Game is a fun, interactive game designed to improve your number skills. Designed like a board game, you play against other computer players to top the leaderboard and win the game, improving your skills all the time. Do you want to improve your number skills? This course will help you understand more about temperatures, weights and distances and will improve your addition, multiplication, division and subtraction skills and much much more. Are you interested in DIY? Being good at DIY means you'll work with numbers, so combine DIY and learning in this fun and informative course. Let Handy Andy and his friends Carman and Phil be your guides and help throughout the course. Select a country you want to represent and travel around the world fixing up houses in competition with other DIY enthusiasts. Roll the dice to move across the board. At each stop take part in a challenge. Some challenges will be just for fun, while others will help you improve your number skills. Only the number skill questions will be scored, so think carefully before clicking the ‘Check answer' button! The higher your score, the further up the leaderboard you will go! Perhaps you just want to dip in and out of the course? No problem, you can move through the course from start to finish, dip in and out, or just study the number skills areas.

Recognise negative numbers in the context of temperature.
Approximate by rounding to the nearest 10 or 100 for whole numbers up to 1000.
Read, write and understand common fractions in everyday contexts.
Recognise and use equivalent fraction forms in everyday contexts.
Addition, subtraction and multiplication:
Understand how to add and subtract, and use, whole numbers of up to 3 digits to give totals up to 1000.
Understand how to multiply 2 digit whole numbers by a single digit in everyday contexts.
Division:
Understand how to divide 2 digit whole numbers by a single digit and use in everyday context.
Read, understand and compare written amounts of money in decimal notation up to 1000 pounds and use in everyday contexts.
Measure, shape and time:
Read and interpret distance in everyday situations.
Estimate, measure and compare length, weight and capacity using appropriate units and instruments.
Read and record time in 5 minute intervals using am and pm.
Calculate duration of time.
Read, understand and record common date formats.
Identify and use the properties of 2D and 3D shapes to solve practical problems using appropriate vocabulary.
Data handling:
Extract and interpret information from lists, tables, diagrams, charts and simple maps.
Make numerical comparisons from bar charts and pictograms.
Make observations and record numerical information using a tally.
Organise and represent information in different ways so that it makes sense to others.
